Future Prospects

After completion of your studies, you may be eligible for a Temporary Graduate Visa (sub class 485) which allows eligible applicants to temporarily live and work in Australia after completion of studies in Australia. Depending on your qualification, you may be granted a visa allowing unrestricted hours of work with validity of up to 4 years.

What are the requirements to qualify for a student visa?

There are several criteria you must meet before you qualify for a student visa. In support of your student visa application, you will need to:

Enrol with an approved Australian Education provider
Provide Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE) for all intended courses from your education provider
Show that you have sufficient funds to cover your tuition fees, travel expenses and living costs
Prove that you are a ‘Genuine Temporary Entrant’, which means you need to provide a statement stating that you intend to stay in Australia temporarily and documentation to support your claim
Have adequate health insurance covering entire duration of your stay in Australia
Meet English language requirements unless exempt
